general psychotherapy

Laura Roberts, Ph.D. offers general psychotherapy services to both adolescents and adults addressing a wide variety of issues.  There are times when we all need help with personal struggles, large and small. Through individual, family or group therapy, Dr. Roberts seeks to assist adolescents and adults in identifying the resources to best meet their needs. Following the initial meeting, Dr. Roberts designs a treatment plan for each client that is individualized, multi-disciplinary, evidence-based and effective.

Recognizing the uniqueness of each individual she treats and the complex nature of human problems, Dr. Roberts uses a comprehensive, integrative approach to therapy. She incorporates a variety of techniques, including cognitive-behavioral methods, interpersonal and family conceptualizations, metaphor, and even art into her treatment.  Throughout the course of treatment, clients may participate in individual, couples, family and group psychotherapy.
